Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://magicslides.app (the "Site") or use the MagicSlides App.

It explains the types of data we handle (including Google user data), how we use it, with whom we share it, and how long we keep it.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of MagicSlides, including:

• Contact details such as your email address.
• Usage information, such as whether you have opened or used the App and features you interact with.
• Content you submit or generate in the App.
• Technical data like device/browser type and IP address used to help secure and improve the service.

Google User Data

When you connect your Google account, we access Google user data only for the scopes you authorize so we can provide the requested features.

• Basic profile details (name, email) to authenticate you and display your account.
• Files or slide content you explicitly select to import, edit, or generate, plus the prompts or content you ask us to create in Google Slides or Drive.
• Google Sheets data from spreadsheets you explicitly choose to use. This data is used only to provide requested functionality such as analysis, summaries, chart generation, and slide content creation inside MagicSlides.
• OAuth tokens that allow us to perform the actions you approve; these are stored securely and used solely to deliver the requested functionality.
• Slide Images: We capture images of your slides solely for preview purposes within the add-on. We do not edit, delete, or modify your presentation content through this process.

For Google Sheets features, MagicSlides requests read-only access only and does not edit, delete, or write back to your Google Sheets.

We do not access other Google account content without your direction, and we do not sell Google user data.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the MagicSlides App and related services.
• Create, edit, and deliver slide content you request, including actions performed via Google APIs.
• Communicate with you about the App, including support and service updates.
• Develop new features, troubleshoot issues, and protect against fraud or abuse.

How We Share or Disclose Information (Including Google User Data)

We share personal information and Google user data only in these circumstances:

• With service providers that host, store, analyze, or support the App (for example, cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery, and customer support tools) under confidentiality and data protection obligations.
• With Google via Google APIs to perform the specific actions you initiate in your Google account.
• For legal, safety, or security reasons if required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• In the event of a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), subject to notice and continued protection of your data.

We do not sell or rent personal information or Google user data.

Retention and Deletion of Google User Data

• We retain personal information and Google user data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
• OAuth tokens and related Google user data are removed or revoked when you disconnect your Google account, delete your account, or after extended inactivity in line with our security policies.
• Google Sheets access tokens and spreadsheet data used for requested features are retained only as needed to provide the service and are removed, revoked, or allowed to expire when you disconnect your Google account, delete your account, or request deletion, subject to legal or compliance requirements.
• You can request deletion at support@magicslides.app; we will delete Google user data and other personal information from active systems within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days) unless we must retain certain records for legal or compliance purposes. Backup copies are removed on their normal retention cycle.

Zoom Integration

When you connect your Zoom account to MagicSlides ("Zoom AI Notetaker by MagicSlides"), we access the following data solely to provide the meeting-notes service:

• Zoom profile — your Zoom user ID and email address, used to link your meeting notes to the correct MagicSlides account.
• Cloud recordings — the list of your completed Zoom cloud recordings and their transcript/audio files, retrieved only after you finish a cloud-recorded meeting (via Zoom's recording.completed event). Only your own recordings are accessed.

How we use it: We generate meeting notes, summaries, key points, decisions, and action items from your recording's transcript. To do this, transcript text is processed by third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI and Google) strictly to produce your notes. Your audio is never used to train AI models.

How we store it: Zoom OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256). Generated transcripts and notes are stored in your MagicSlides account so you can access them later.

Sharing & selling: We do not sell or rent your Zoom data. It is shared only with the sub-processors needed to deliver the service (AI providers for summarization and our cloud infrastructure providers).

Retention & deletion: You can delete any meeting note at any time. If you remove ("deauthorize") the MagicSlides app from your Zoom account, we delete the stored Zoom connection and associated tokens and honor Zoom's data-compliance deauthorization process. You may also request deletion of your data by emailing support@magicslides.app.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including access controls, encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for OAuth tokens (AES-256), and monitoring for misuse.

Your Data Subject Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict its processing, by emailing support@magicslides.app. We respond within 30 days. Where applicable law grants additional rights (such as data portability), we honor those rights on request.

Your Choices & Contact

You can disconnect your Google or Zoom account at any time and may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
